The Story Behind “Poderoso / Mighty” – Melech Worship

“Poderoso / Mighty” was born from a desire to remind ourselves and others of who God is, especially during moments when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult.

The song was inspired by Psalm 91:1:

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

“El que habita al abrigo del Altísimo morará bajo la sombra del Omnipotente.”

This powerful image of resting under the shadow of the Almighty became the heart behind the song. When we remain in His presence, we find protection, strength, peace, and confidence.

“Poderoso / Mighty” is more than a song about what God can do—it is a declaration of who He is:

He is Mighty.

Él es Santo.
He is Holy.

Él es Digno.
He is Worthy.

Él es Rey.
He is King.

Our prayer is that this worship flow reminds you that no matter what you are facing, God remains in control.
